Unknown incident starting around 8:30 p.m. tonight in the area of Belford Avenue and 28 Road. The incident escalated after 10:00 p.m. with multiple Junction Police officers responding emergent to the area. The sheriff department is now handling Grand Junction city calls until police get the situation under control. Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene but did not air the reason over their radios.
SWAT team is on scene. Shelter-in-place issued for surrounding area.
