
Vehicle vs pedestrian accident happened at 8:00 a.m. in front of Central Highschool on E 1/2 Road and Warrior Way. CPR was started on pedestrian. Heavy police presence at Central High School. Victim is a 40 66 year old female, possibly in a wheelchair, was fatally struck by vehicle driven by a male student.

(Grand Junction, COLO) At 8:03 a.m. this morning, the Colorado State Patrol responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on Warrior Way and E 1/2 Rd.
Troopers on scene have confirmed that a 66-year-old female was on the north side of the street crossing the intersection traveling east. A pickup truck heading north on Warrior Way, driven by a male high school student, went through the intersection striking the female, who was later pronounced deceased on scene.
The intersection is currently shut down in all directions.
This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released once it is available. The Mesa County Coronerโs office will release the name of the deceased after proper notifications have been made.

An adult pedestrian was involved in a traffic incident in the crosswalk on Warrior Way in front of the high school and has passed away. The individual was not a student and had no connection to the school. Colorado State Patrol is conducting an investigation, and we ask everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information.
