
Structure fire in the area of C 3/4 Road and Rosevale Road. Initially started as a small brush fire that spread to a fence and to various vehicles on the property. Fire has now spread to 3 motorhomes. Incident likely caused by juveniles starting a fire nearby.

Grand Junction, Colo. — At approximately 4:57 p.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a reported weed fire on the 370 block of Rosevale Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire had spread to nearby fencing and unoccupied camp trailers on the property.
Crews swiftly established a reliable water supply from a nearby hydrant, requiring the temporary closure of Rosevale Road with assistance from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the burning weeds and fencing.
To ensure the fire was fully extinguished, crews worked to access and remove burning materials from inside the trailers by cutting open portions of the trailer walls.
No injuries were reported because of the fire. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
