Grand Junction Fire Department Responds to Attic Fire

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Early this morning at 6:22 a.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a potential attic fire at a residence on the 2400 block of Hall Avenue. The homeowner detected smoke and heat emanating from the attic, promptly called 9-1-1, and evacuated safely. Firefighters arrived swiftly, located smoldering insulation in the attic, and took extensive measures to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the home. No injuries were reported, and the resident was not displaced. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Grand Junction Police Department provided assistance with scene safety.
