MESA COUNTY, Colo. — July 14, 2025 — A coordinated, three-day undercover operation aimed at identifying adults who use the internet to solicit children for sex resulted in the arrest of five men in and around Mesa County, authorities announced.

The effort — led by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) with support from the Grand Junction Police Department, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Colorado State Patrol, the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation — focused on online forums and social-media platforms where suspects believed they were communicating with minors.

Those arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility are:

Randy Abeyta, 61, Grand Junction — Internet Luring of a Child (F4); Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child (F5)

Bobby Adams, 23, Grand Junction — Pandering of a Child (F3)

Fidel Nunez-Morales, 37, Montrose — Soliciting for Child Prostitution (F3); Pandering of a Child (F3)

Robert Turner, 55, Delta — Soliciting for Child Prostitution (F3); Pandering of a Child (F3)

Everett Kiser, 41, Grand Junction — Soliciting for Child Prostitution (F3); Pandering of a Child (F3)

Investigators say the arrests are intended as a warning to anyone who “knowingly and willfully” seeks sexual contact with minors online: such crimes will not be tolerated in Mesa County.

As in all criminal matters, the charges are allegations. Each defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
