Police are in the area of the alleyway on Orchard Avenue and North 8th Street with a male suspect that was involved in a foot pursuit. The suspect is in custody after jumping off a roof and injuring himself. EMS crews are on scene. Officers were originally dispatched to the area for reports of suspicious activity involving the suspect.
The incident caused the nearby Tope Elementary School to be placed on a shelter-in-place until the suspect was in taken into custody.
