Camper Fire, D 3/4 Rd & Carson Lake Dr Clifton

Camper reported on fire next to a home on Carson Lake Drive, just south of D 3/4 Rd in Clifton. The RV was fully engulfed in flames when responders arrived, also engulfing another nearby tow trailer. The fire spread to the sides of both bordering homes but was kept under control by fire crews. A large column of black smoke from the incident was seen across Clifton. Responders forced entry to one of the neighboring homes and did not locate any residents inside at the time. One dog was safely removed from the home and checked by Animal Control.

Clifton Fire stated: “Crews from Engine 21 quickly knocked down the fire, preventing extension to either residence. Firefighters rescued two dogs, both unharmed. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
