Crews report strong progress on the 32 ½ Road and Clifton Campus Roadway Improvement Project, remaining on schedule to finish by Oct. 3, 2025. The work is intended to deliver safety and accessibility upgrades across key corridors in Clifton and eastern Mesa County.
Phase 1: Replace the bridge over the Grand Valley Irrigation Canal on 32 ½ Road, just south of Friendship Drive.
Phase 2: Build a new roundabout and roadway extension at E Road and 32 ½ Road, connecting to the south end of 32 ½ Road near D 7/8 Road.
Phase 3: Widen D ¾ Road between East Chukar Way and West Chukar Way to a full residential road, including a new sidewalk linking Rocky Mountain Elementary Park to the existing sidewalk west of Mountain Vista Drive.
Drivers should watch for detours and slow to posted speeds in construction zones. For updates or questions, call the project hotline at 970-549-9611.
