Male that was drinking with a group of people was shot at by another male. No injuries are reported. Police are in contact with the suspect.

On July 30, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to Paradise Valley Mobile Home Park located at 585 25 ยฝ Road for possible shots fired. Officers learned that after a verbal dispute with a neighbor, Peter Trujillo, 53, discharged a weapon towards the victim. There were no reported injuries. Trujillo was taken into custody without incident and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Attempted Murder in the First Degree
- Reckless Endangerment
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Menacing
- Prohibited Use of Weapons
This remains an ongoing investigation and there is no current threat to the community. There is no additional information available at this time.
