Multiple large brush fires started from a lightning strike on Hwy 139 at mile marker 22. According to mapping, this fire is in Garfield County, however, Mesa County is sending an extensive amount of resources to fight the fire, including Lower Valley Fire, air support, and BLM units. The fire is threating a natural gas facility in the area.
