Grand Junction, Colo. — Once the trick-or-treaters have gone and jack-o’-lanterns start to wilt, Mesa County residents can drop off pumpkins for free at the Mesa County Landfill Compost Facility. The program keeps fall décor out of the landfill and puts it to better use as compost.
Before dropping off, please remove candles, lights, plastic, and any other decorations.

- Hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
