GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died from injuries suffered in a Nov. 3 crash as Ronald Pace, 64, of Grand Junction.
Grand Junction police say officers were dispatched around 5:35 p.m. to the intersection of 29 Road and D 1/2 Road for a motorcycle–vehicle collision. A vehicle traveling south on 29 Road was rear-ended by a motorcycle. Officers performed CPR on the rider until Grand Junction Fire Department crews arrived and transported him to a local hospital. He was later airlifted to a hospital in Denver, where he died on Nov. 13. According to the coroner, Pace was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and his death was related to the injuries he sustained.
