Vehicle accident with one vehicle resting on it side on Orchard Avenue near North 26th St. Two occupants are trapped in the rolled vehicle, described as a Lincoln Navigator. Fire and EMS are on scene with traffic blocked on Orchard Avenue. The crashed vehicle also hit a natural gas meter, severing the line causing a gas leak. Xcel has been notified. This is a single vehicle accident.
Just prior to the accident, a caller reported to dispatch that a white Lincoln Navigator was speeding, passing on double yellow, and tailgating traffic in the area of D 1/2 Road and 29 Road. The vehicle plate given matches the crashed vehicle on Orchard Avenue.
Update: Police say two occupants were transported to the hospital with moderate to serious injuries. Speed is being looked at as a factor.
