Sheriff is out on an animal related incident on 33 Road near San Felipe Avenue. Originally dispatched as an issue involving a pack of dogs, the incident escalated with a property owner grabbing a shotgun. One of the dogs was then struck by a passing school bus on 33 Road. After the dog was struck, the male reportedly put the shotgun away and went to check on the dog in the roadway. Deputies are on scene investigating. The school bus remained on scene to speak with law enforcement.
Radio traffic seems to indicate possibly 4 dogs returned to an owner, with 1 deceased dog transported to animal services.
