A hit-and-run vehicle collision was reported around 6:19 p.m. at Franklin Avenue and North 1st Street. Radio traffic indicates police and fire/EMS responded and an ambulance was requested to the scene.
Responders reported a white BMW X3 and a greenish-blue Ford Explorer were involved. A male in his 30s–40s was described as conscious and breathing with facial bleeding; another person in the BMW was reported to be waiting inside their vehicle. Witnesses and radio traffic said the Explorer fled the scene; initial reports said it went northbound on N 1st St, with follow-up transmissions indicating it may have continued northbound on Balsam. Reports described a fleeing individual wearing neon green shoes, gray sweatpants, a green hoodie and a red-and-black beanie.
