A possible chimney fire was reported about 9:04 p.m. Dispatch sent Palisade fire crews and Engine 41 to a residence near Hwy 6 and 39 1/8 Road after a caller reported flames shooting from the chimney and occupants evacuating the home.
Responding crews reported clear visibility inside the home with no smoke and only small embers in the fireplace. Fire personnel conducted a sweep of the surrounding area to check for hot spots; the on-scene commander approved downgrading the response. No injuries were reported.
