Fire and EMS crews responded around 5:30 p.m. to a reported kitchen fire on North Dale Court near Ridges Boulevard. Multiple engines, trucks and ambulances were initially dispatched to the two-story home and occupants evacuated the residence.
Radio traffic indicated the fire started when a blender caught fire on the stove. Crews reported nothing showing on arrival but observed a light snoke inside, isolated the stove and removed it from the electrical circuit. Several engines and ambulances were later canceled as the situation was brought under control. No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
