The Grand Junction Fire Department responded early Friday morning to a fire involving a mobile food truck parked at the northwest corner of 12th Street and Ute Avenue.

Crews were dispatched around 2:38 a.m. after passersby noticed unusual smoke coming from the truck and called 911. When firefighters arrived, the vehicle was locked and appeared unoccupied.

Truck 1 quickly extinguished the fire, and crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure the truck’s stone pizza oven had fully cooled and no hotspots remained. No injuries were reported.

The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation. Fire personnel also assisted with traffic control and overall scene safety during the incident.
