Two suspects were arrested after officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to consecutive burglary alarms at the Tractor Supply store on Highway 6 & 50 earlier this week.

According to police, the first alarm came in around 3:05 a.m. on December 25, 2025. Officers arrived at the Tractor Supply at 2449 Highway 6 and 50 and discovered that multiple items had been stolen.

Roughly 24 hours later, at 4:30 a.m. on December 26, officers were dispatched again for another burglary alarm at the same location. Responding officers found that additional merchandise had been taken.

During the investigation, officers identified Maisie Meryhew, 31, Christopher Goure, 34, as the suspects. When officers attempted to contact them, both fled on foot. They were quickly apprehended and arrested without further incident.

Meryhew and Goure were booked into the Mesa County Detention Center on multiple outstanding warrants as well as the following charges:

  • Theft
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer

Police say the burglaries appear to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
