A vehicle fire was reported about 5:46 p.m. at the business plaza at 2830 North Ave, near the Arc Store and Carl’s Jr. Grand Junction police and local fire crews responded to the scene.
Radio traffic indicated the fire involved a red Dodge Ram parked roughly 20 feet from the building. Occupants were out of the vehicle and uninjured. Bystanders had used a fire extinguisher twice to knock down the flames prior to fire crews’ arrival; crews remained on scene to fully extinguish and check for any remaining hazards.
