A single-vehicle crash was reported about 2:53 p.m. at Riverside Parkway and 28 Road. Multiple callers told dispatch the vehicle ran a light at 29 Road and continued driving until it struck a guardrail at 28 Road. Witnesses reported seeing someone run southbound on 28 Road, possibly carrying a toddler. Police are searching the area for the driver. No injuries have been reported.
Update 3:05 p.m.: Police have located the female driver and a small child. The female left the child when fleeing from officers. The female suspect then broke a window to gain access to a nearby house. Officers have the home surrounded and are working to take the suspect into custody.
Update: Radio traffic suggests the female suspect is safely in custody.
Police have the child and EMS crews are evaluating him for a slightly bloody nose.
