Grand Junction, CO — A Whitewater man was arrested this week following a multi-month investigation into alleged sexual offenses involving minors, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators issued an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Elijah Hoyt on January 22, 2026. Hoyt was taken into custody later that evening without incident. The Sheriff’s Office said the arrest stems from a lengthy investigation into alleged sexual offenses against minors.
Hoyt was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on the following charges:
- Sexual Assault on a Child, Position of Trust, Pattern (Felony 3)
- Aggravated Incest (Felony 3)
Authorities say no additional information is being released at this time due to Colorado laws protecting the privacy of child victims and the ongoing nature of the investigation.
