Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Counterfeit Suspects

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — The Grand Junction Police Department is calling on the community to help identify two suspects linked to a series of counterfeit currency reports at downtown businesses.

Authorities are investigating multiple incidents where a woman attempted to use fake $100 bills to pay for merchandise. While some businesses successfully identified the bills as fraudulent, the suspects managed to complete transactions in at least two locations.

Police are looking for information on the following individuals:

  • Suspect 1: A Black female, aged 20–25, with a medium build.
  • Suspect 2: A White male, aged 20–25, with a small to medium build and dark hair.

The GJPD is asking business owners to review any recent surveillance footage that may have captured the pair.
