
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A 29-year-old woman is in custody following a weekend arrest at a local hotel that yielded suspected methamphetamine and uncovered multiple outstanding warrants.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office acted on a tip regarding the location of a wanted suspect. The individual, identified as Destiny Kouris, was located at a hotel on the 700 block of Horizon Drive.
According to officials, Kouris was wanted for failure to appear and other outstanding warrants stemming from four separate criminal cases. She was taken into custody without incident.
Upon searching Kouris’ belongings, deputies discovered:
- Just under 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
- Drug paraphernalia.

Kouris was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where she remains booked on the following charges:
- Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule I/II, >4 Grams): A Class 4 Felony.
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A Drug Petty Offense.
- Multiple Outstanding Warrants.
