
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a woman who died following a fall at the Colorado National Monument over the weekend.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Taryn Wilson, a resident of Grand Junction.
According to the Coroner’s Office, the incident occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Wilson was walking and hiking near the Window Rock Trailhead when she fell from a cliff edge. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy has been completed, and officials confirmed that her death was related to the injuries she sustained from the accident.
