
A two-vehicle crash was reported around 9:10 a.m. at the Diverging Diamond interchange east at I-70 near 22 Road. Grand Junction police and fire/EMS responded with lights and sirens.
Radio traffic indicated the crash involved a silver pickup (Silverado) and a black four-door sedan (Honda Civic). Two patients were reported: a female in the Honda Civic with a possible broken arm and a male in the Silverado with a leg injury. Both patients were conscious and breathing; one person was out of the truck and another remained in the sedan.
Responders said both vehicles were blocking the middle of the intersection and additional ambulances were requested. Officers were providing traffic control in the area. Radio traffic suggested that at least one occupant might have serious bodily injury.
