From the Grand Junction Police Department:
The Grand Junction Police Department has made three additional arrests following a continuous and thorough investigation into the aggravated robbery which occurred at Canyon View Park on August 16, 2024.
Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at Canyon View Park on August 16, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., and arrested three people for robbing a group of victims at gunpoint. Officers located a suspect vehicle shortly after and arrested two adults, ages 19 and 20, and a juvenile, age 16, for Aggravated Robbery and other related charges.
Thorough investigation led to the identity of additional suspects who were involved in the incident and detectives with the Grand Junction Police Department issued warrants for their arrests. Officers conducted a traffic stop on August 19, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the area of N 13th Street and Cedar Avenue and identified the three occupants of the vehicle as the outstanding suspects in the aggravated robbery incident. The three people were arrested and taken into custody.
Kevin Ramirez, age 19, was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Aggravated Robbery
- 1st Degree Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- Harassment
Christopher Ramirez, age 18, was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Aggravated Robbery
- Felony Menacing
- Harassment
A juvenile, age 16, was arrested and is in the custody of the Department of Youth Corrections on the following charges:
- Aggravated Robbery
- Harassment
- Minor in Possession/Consumption of Alcohol
Another individual who was already in custody at the Mesa County Detention Facility on unrelated charges was also charged in relation to this incident. Isaiah Woods, age 20, was charged with the following:
- Aggravated Robbery
- 1st Degree Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- Harassment
