Sheriff’s deputies engaged in an emergency pursuit shortly after 4:00 a.m. in the area of Front Street and 36 Road after a caller reported a silver minivan being driven erratically by a 7-year-old Palisade juvenile. Deputies responded with lights and sirens and tracked the vehicle westbound on Highway 6, at times reported in the wrong lanes.
Deputies prepped stop sticks at multiple locations and traffic was blocked at 33 Road while units worked to end the incident. The vehicle was later stopped safely around 34 Road and the juvenile was taken into protective custody. No injuries were reported.
