A single-vehicle crash was reported around 2:00 a.m. after multiple 911 calls at 30 Road and I-70B in front of the Lux Lounge.
Callers initially reported a possible DUI and that the vehicle was on fire, but responders on scene reported the vehicle was smoking and not actively burning. A silver Chevy Blazer sustained significant damage after striking a light pole. The driver remained in the vehicle and was conscious, breathing and speaking normally, complaining of a possible broken right leg. Deputies and medical personnel were working to assess and treat the patient.
