Fire and EMS units along with Grand Junction police responded around 9:45 p.m. to a reported house fire at the Riverview Trailer Park along Highway 50.
Dispatch and officers reported the trailer was nearly fully involved and crews were evacuating nearby units. Law enforcement indicated they were making entry into the burning trailer. Callers told dispatch a single female with two young children lived in the unit, but the resident’s car was not at the site, so it was unknown if anyone remained inside.
Grand Junction Fire Department is on scene working to put out the blaze.
Update: No injuries were reported. Animals were found deceased in the home, with conflicting radio traffic indicating a badly burned dog was transported to an emergency vet. A fire investigator has been dispatched.
