Radio traffic indicated a roughly 70-year-old male was struck; he was reported conscious and breathing but bleeding from his head. Dispatch said the striking vehicle may have left the scene was described as a Jeep Cherokee. EMS is on scene evaluating the pedestrians injuries. Northbound on 29 Road is blocked by the incident.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Patterson Road and 29 Road.
On May 12 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Grand Junction Police Department officers responded to a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash.
According to investigators, a vehicle traveling northbound on 29 Road was making a westbound turn when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street southbound. The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
