Fire and EMS crews were dispatched around 8:00 p.m. for the report of a fire originating from an oven in an apartment in the 400 block of Chipeta Avenue.
Truck 1 reported on scene at a medium-sized apartment complex and said a light haze remained in the area after occupants were evacuated. Radio traffic indicated the blaze may have been extinguished with a handheld fire extinguisher. Crews later reported the fire was out with truck 1 remaining on scene and all other units returning to stations. No injuries were reported.
