Lower Valley Fire was dispatched about 6:58 p.m. to reports of an electrical fire at a power pole in the area of 19 Road. Crews responded after callers reported a possible transformer box explosion.
Radio traffic indicated witnesses heard an explosion and saw fire involving electrical conduit or nearby ditch vegetation. Dispatch was working to notify Grand Valley Power for utility support. No injuries were reported.
