Shortly after 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded after a semi-truck struck a power pole at Q Road and 14 Road. Radio traffic indicated a transformer and power lines were down and the pole was partially blocking Q Road; the semi was off the roadway. Grand Valley Power was notified and reported en route with an estimated 20-minute arrival, and Colorado State Patrol was advised and sending a trooper.
Dispatchers and on-scene units reported no active sparking and no one trapped. Incident command (Q Road Command) was established and crews were blocking the road while they investigate and await utility crews.
