A vehicle-versus-bicycle crash was reported shortly before 5:45 p.m. at D Road and 30 Road. Grand Junction police units, a county deputy and fire and EMS crews were dispatched to the scene and initially responded with lights and sirens.
Multiple callers reported the bicyclist was lying in the roadway and blocking traffic. Radio traffic later indicated the rider, described as an adult male, was conscious, breathing and talking but had an injury to his left arm and a small head bleed; responders were evaluating him on scene. Further radio traffic suggests moderate injury.
