Fire and EMS units responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Elm Avenue for reports of a smell of smoke.
The reporting party was concerned a swamp cooler or something on the roof might be burning; initial radio traffic indicated no visible flames. Crews on scene are investigating. Most dispatched units are returning to stations. No injuries were reported.
