Lower Valley fire crews, including units from Station 32 and Brush 31, responded about 4:04 p.m. to reports of several brush fires in the median on I-70 near mile markers 13 to 15.
Scanner traffic indicated the blaze was started when a vehicle’s tire came off; the vehicle was pulled over on the shoulder. Crews are working to extinguish the fires. No injuries were reported. A BLM fire engine is also dispatched to assist.
