Fire crews responded around 9:30 a.m. after multiple callers reported a grass fire on the north side of Highway 6 & 50 near 23 Road.
Radio traffic indicated the fire was getting into vegetative fuels and a caller said it had spread to a nearby telephone box. No structures appeared threatened. An additional brush truck was dispatched to assist fire crews.
