Firefighter Emergency, B South Rd & 10.75 Rd

The Bureau of Land Management requested EMS around 3:59 p.m. for five firefighters who deployed emergency shelters while working in the Knowles/Gore Canyon area. Scanner traffic said EMS units were asked to stage at B S Road and 10 3/4 Road where fire personnel would meet and escort crews into the area; initial ambulance response was dispatched with lights and sirens.

Radio traffic indicated BLM and fire command were coordinating directly. Multiple ground ambulances were sent and crews requested air resources, including two helicopters and Care Flight/Classic, with transmissions noting the firefighters were being air-evacuated to Rabbit Valley.

Lower Valley Fire District is dispatched to Rabbit Valley area to assist with medical.
