Fire and EMS units responded about 9:39 p.m. to reports of a brush fire in the area of Patterson Road and 29 Road.
Engine 2 arrived and reported a brush fire behind a bus stop about 50 feet from the nearest structure that was threatening a fence. Radio traffic indicated no structures were believed to be threatened and no injuries were reported.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and are working on making sure all hot spots are fully out. Units are also checking the surrounding area as an extra precaution due to high fire risk from dry conditions.
