A structure fire was reported about 11:24 a.m. near the northwest corner of 31 3/4 Road and B 1/2 Road. Mesa County Fire Authority paged Clifton Fire Mutual Aid to assist, and law enforcement responded with lights and sirens.
Initial radio traffic indicated the unit appeared vacant and the fire was initially contained to the trailer, but later transmissions reported the mobile home became fully engulfed and the fire spread into grass to the east. Responding units listed in scanner traffic included Engine 51, Engine 21 and Truck 21, and a water tender was requested;
No injuries were reported in the live radio traffic.
Update: Crews are reporting good knock down on the structure fire and also on the nearby grass / brush.
