Emergency crews responded about 3:05 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash at Patterson Road and Meander Drive. Grand Junction police, fire and EMS units were dispatched to the scene.

Radio traffic indicated a green sedan with one occupant trapped and injured; the person was reported conscious and breathing but not responsive. A total of three four patients were reported. Eastbound lanes were blocked by one of the damaged vehicles. Ambulance 16, Truck 6 and Ambulance 2 were sent to assist, and at least one unit responded with lights and sirens from 12th Street and Bookcliff Avenue.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — Four people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon following a collision on Patterson Road caused by a vehicle veering into oncoming traffic.

On July 8, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Patterson Road and Meander Drive.

According to investigators, a passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on Patterson Road when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes, striking an oncoming SUV.

Personnel from the Grand Junction Fire Department transported three occupants of the SUV to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle was also transported to the hospital with suspected serious bodily injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Grand Junction Police Department.
