A two-vehicle crash was reported about 5:18 p.m. on westbound Highway 6 at 19 Road. Lower Valley fire and EMS units, including Engine 31 and Ambulances 31 and 33, responded with lights and sirens. State Patrol and Fruita law enforcement were also notified and responding.
Radio traffic indicated the collision involved a black Ford Edge and a black Dodge Challenger, with the Challenger’s airbag deployed. Initial reports listed unknown injuries; later radio updates described possible minor injuries. Responders were on scene investigating and providing patient care. Westbound traffic is being detoured north onto 19 1/2 Road.
