A vehicle rollover was reported about 10:48 a.m. at Pitkin Avenue and S 9th Street. Grand Junction Fire and EMS units responded with lights and sirens, and Grand Junction police were also en route.
Radio traffic indicated a two-vehicle collision with a green Jeep Cherokee overturned on its roof. One person was able to exit the vehicle while another remained trapped; eastbound traffic was blocked and officers requested traffic control as bystanders were attempting to assist. Bystanders and responders helped to free the trapped occupant and everyone was safely out of their vehicles.
Three patients were evaluated and treated on scene with one person possibly transported to the hospital with suggested minor to moderate injury.
An officer monitoring a camera at the intersection suggested construction flaggers in the area possibly contributed to the crash.
