Police responded around 8:20 p.m. after a caller reported a man threatened them with a knife at the Oak Shelter in Lincoln Park at 1340 Gunnison Avenue.
Radio traffic described the suspect as a white male wearing a tank top, shorts and a backpack, reportedly intoxicated and carrying a bottle of vodka. He was reported walking toward Gunnison Avenue. Police located the suspect and took him safely into custody.
No injuries were reported in the live radio traffic.
