
An assault was reported just after 1:39 p.m. in the 2800 block of Rock Creek Drive. Grand Junction police and local EMS units were dispatched after a caller reported the mother and father had been fighting all day and that a female could be heard being struck inside the residence.
Radio traffic indicated officers breached the door for exigent circumstances and had safely removed a female from the home. Responding units reported hearing the female being punched repeatedly. A male initially gave no response but was later found and was complying with officers.
