Motorcyclist Arrested for DUI Following Crash

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 60-year-old man with multiple prior convictions was arrested Tuesday night for driving under the influence after crashing his motorcycle at a Grand Junction intersection.

On Tuesday, September 1, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a single-motorcycle crash at the intersection of Partee Drive and Patterson Road.

The rider, identified as Keith Fletcher, 60, was transported to a local hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department to be evaluated for injuries. During the crash investigation, officers developed probable cause to suspect that Fletcher was impaired while operating the motorcycle.

After being medically cleared and released by the hospital, Fletcher was taken into custody and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. He was booked on the following charges:

  • DUI – Drove Vehicle Under the Influence (3 or More Prior Convictions)
  • Driving After Revocation Prohibited – Habitual Traffic Offender
  • Careless Driving
  • No Insurance in Possession
