Crews responded around 11:11 a.m. to a reported small brush fire near Exit 47 at Island Acres along eastbound I-70. Callers reported smoke and flames from a fire approximately 20 feet in size on the side of the roadway.
Palisade Brush 41 and Water Tender 41 were dispatched to the area and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries or traffic impacts were reported in the scanner traffic.
