From the Grand Junction Police Department:
On August 29, 2024, at approximately 10:50 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the intersection of Wellington Avenue and 7th Street for a hit and run crash. A truck traveling northbound on 7th and struck a sedan turning southbound on 7th Street. The truck fled the scene and was stopped in 600 block of Anela. The Grand Junction Fire Department transported the female driver of the sedan to the hospital with possible serious bodily injury. Alcohol is being looked at as a possible factor. This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information at this time.
