A vehicle struck a power pole shortly after 10:36 p.m. near Patterson Road and 27 1/2 Road. Grand Junction police, fire crews and EMS responded to the single-vehicle crash, which left power lines down and the eastbound traffic light out. Both eastbound lanes were reported closed due to the traffic light laying in the road.
A 25-year-old male driver was conscious and breathing but was initially not fully alert and had a bleeding nose. Law enforcement was on scene investigating the crash.
